In Greek mythology, as Aphrodite held the dying Adonis in her arms, his blood was said to have stained the white roses red. The obvious symbolism today equates the red rose with love. The ancient Greeks, the ancient Egyptians, Romans, and people up to modern times have all found special meanings for the rose.
The Sterling Silver Rose is .925 sterling silver weighing 7.0 ounces. This 18 inch long stem rose has approximately 20 individual hand formed petals creating a rose bud almost 3 inches across. Each Rose has 6 hand formed leaves attached to the solid sterling silver stem. Each rose is numbered, signed, and carries a “STERLING” stamp.
NOTE: This rose is coated in a clearcoat, therefore, the sterling silver will not tarnish and negates the need for polishing. Please contact me if you would like a similar rose without a clear coat which over time will allow the silver to naturally tarnish.
