Palmetto Palm Metal Table Top Sculpture
This beautiful palm tree is quite common in the south and found at water’s edge, in landscaping and even the South Carolina state flag. Resting in a coquina stone base, this handmade tabletop palmetto sculpture art has 40 intricate palm fronds attached to a copper trunk with distinct “boots” near the top of the trunk. Each hand cut 2-inch frond has approximately 32 leaflets requiring a minimum of 70 cuts. From there, they’re embossed and bent to give the frond its very distinct shape. Finally, the palm fronds are painted with a translucent green paint in stages giving the tree its natural look. This one-of-a-kind 3D tropical art deco sculpture easily reminds one of a warm breeze, a tropical vacation, or destination wedding.
