"Crusing" Metal Heron Wall Art

$12,500.00

“Cruising” is a handmade life-sized metal wall art sculpture with an impressive 6-foot wingspan.  This one-of-a-kind metal art sculpture replicates the smoothness and grace of the heron while gliding. Its neck, curved in an “S” shape. is tucked into the body and its wings are at full extension, giving it a clean aerodynamic posture for flight. This wall decor sculpture has a copper frame covered with 2800 individual feathers of copper, stainless steel, and heat tempered steel. Every feather is meticulously hand cut to shape and then detailed either using a grinder to give the fine detail of the feather structure or further cut to provide the “hairlike” detail on a heron’s neck and head. After detailing, each feather is one by one soldered or welded onto the copper frame.
