20 Inch Copper Hydrangea- Ammonia Blue
The hydrangea has held many different meanings for centuries. The blue hydrangea is typically a sign of gratitude and understanding or has been a good way to admit you're sorry. This handmade copper hydrangea consists of approximately 60 individual hand-cut and hand embossed copper flowers each soldered onto its own stem. Then the stems are then meticulously assembled creating the big beautiful blossom of the blue hydrangea. The blue color is created by immersing the copper blossom in salt and ammonia giving it that wonderful blue patina. The rest of this one-of-a-kind stem and leaves are colored with a translucent green paint. The entire copper metal sculpture is then clear coated for long lasting beauty.
